The BB/RS 232 board can be attached to a circuit board as a piggy-back board or mounted into a housing as a stand-alone device the interfaces being connected to 9-pole D-subs via ribbon cable. The fieldbus OEM boards have already been in successful operation in a great variety of industrial devices and realise the linking of these devices not only to the respective fieldbus, but also to the different PLC and SCADA systems proper.
